TCP/IP Network Administration is one of the best books about
the TCP/IP Protocol Suite. The basics of IP (Internet
Protocol) communication are covered well, as are UDP (User
Datagram Protocol) and TCP (Transmission Control
Protocol). TCP/IP Network Administration is pitched towards Administrators as opposed to Developers, though Programmers do benefit from the sagely advice
and information contained within.
TCP/IP Network Administration covers the basics of network routing in a
TCP/IP based network along with all the major daemons that
fit into the TCP/IP stack of applications. TCP/IP Network Administration
is often a useful book to turn to when building a network
and looking at the major server applications that can be
installed to provide an organisation with computer
services.
